The Types of Ads Which Will Appear On Your Site

The AdMob Marketplace includes hundreds of advertisers ranging from large brands to direct response advertisers. Ads are grouped into categories based upon the content of the service or product offered. As a publisher, you have the ability to filter which category of ads you would like to have shown on your site. By default your site will receive ads that are meant for all audiences. You can further filter the ads to include Age Appropriate content or block ads from specific URLs (e.g. a competitive site).

Performance Ads
Brand Ads

Performance Ads: Performance ads refer to a text ad placed on a mobile web site. When clicked, the ad directs users to an advertiser's mobile site.

Performance ads are an efficient way to reach mobile users. Performance ads are shown on mobile web pages across the AdMob Network. Priced on a cost-per-click basis, Performance ads are employed by both ROI and Brand Advertisers. Performance ads leverage the full targeting capabilities of the AdMob Marketplace.

Brand Ads:

Brand ads are image ads that may contain text. They enable advertisers to drive brand awareness as well as traffic. When clicked, the ad directs users to an advertiser's mobile site.

Brand ads enable advertisers to build brand awareness while driving traffic to their mobile sites. Brand ads are shown on mobile web pages across the AdMob Network and are priced on a cost-per-thousand impressions basis.

Note: While all sites can run Performance ads, Brand ads are not currently available for all mobile sites.
