Our Ad Control Settings Put You in Control You want to maintain the highest standards for your user experience - that's why we created these settings to give you control over the type of ads that appear on your site. Think of the Ad Moderation & Ad Rating Preference Settings as filters that give you control over the ads appearing on your site.
Ad Moderation: Auto-Approve vs. Manual Approve
You can feel comfortable selecting auto-approve knowing that AdMob reviews each and every ad before it appears on your site through a combination of manual and machine screening.
The Auto-Approve setting makes sure that you always have a consistent supply of available ads for your site resulting in higher fill rates and greater ad diversity which increases the likelihood your readers will click the ads ultimately leading to more revenue for you.
While manual approval is a good option as well, you must check back regularly and approve each ad individually. This process can be time consuming and also you run the risk of missing out on the revenue you could be earning while ads are waiting for your approval.
Ad Rating Preference
You can block ads from competitive sites by entering their url
You can decide to include age appropriate ads on your site. (Your account automatically blocks age appropriate ads and only provides family friendly ads unless you specifically select age appropriate ads)
These settings ensure the ads we serve for your site meet your individual needs as a publisher. You can select these settings by going to the My Sites tab and selecting your preferences for Ad Moderation & Ad Rating Preferences.
Introducing AdMob Mobile Metrics
What is AdMob Mobile Metrics? As you may know, we have leveraged the data we collect from the billions of ad requests, impressions, and clicks in our network worldwide to create this new report with market level data. AdMob Metrics highlights manufacturer, device and country-specific data for the month of September in AdMob's top four markets by impressions served: US, UK, India and South Africa. We plan to add additional countries and handset capability data in future releases and we plan to release new free reports on a monthly basis.
Why You'll Love Mobile Metrics Publishers want to better understand mobile data use by operator and by device to target their content and optimize their site performance. Advertisers want to understand demographics and device capabilities as they plan their campaigns. The AdMob Network is not tied to one carrier or operator, so the data in our Mobile Metrics report allows our community to take a glimpse into the mobile advertising market as a whole in the US and around the world.
Highlights from the Report Just one key finding from the report shows the relative market share of handset manufacturers Worldwide and in the US.
